Rachel to Appear on Strictly Come Dancing Christmas

strictly_xmas

There is literally so much news going on right now! Rachel’s just announced that she will appear along side Tristan MacManus (rather than Vincent) in this years Christmas special for Strictly. Read the official announcement below!!

It’s all go at Rachel HQ at the moment with The Voice and getting back together with S Club 7 for Children in Need and just when I thought it couldn’t get any more exciting/couldn’t squeeze any more dates into the diary … I can now announce that I’ll be back on TV for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special!

I’ve been twitching to tell you about this for a little while but have been sworn to secrecy! As you know, I’m a huge Strictly fan (I’m #TeamFrankie all the way this year although there are a LOT of good people in the line up so I’m hooked as usual) so to be able to put my dancing shoes back on is amazing. We’re back in rehearsals getting ready for a pantomime inspired Christmas routine and whilst it’s strange not to be dancing with Vincent as we had a very special bond, Tristan MacManus is my equally fabulous partner in crime this year and we’re having lots of fun already as he puts me through my paces. So a big thank you to him!

Other people joining the Christmas Special this year are Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Lisa Riley, Louis Smith, Chris Hollins and Russell Grant – Sir Bruce will also be back this year hosting with Tess so it will be like old times!

I really miss dancing, it’s such a great feeling once you’ve got the routine down. And it’s one of the best work outs I’ve done! When you’re in your dress, the music starts and the live audience get excited of course it’s really nerve wracking and you slightly wonder what you’re doing and if you’ll remember the steps and all those kinds of things but the feeling you have in those few minutes with your partner, is magical.

I can’t wait to get under that famous glitter ball again and I hope you’ll tune in to find out what we’re dancing to, I’d love your support.

ITS OFFICIAL, S CLUB REUNITING FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

I have official comformation that S Club 7 are reforming next month for Children In Need, the band will perform a medley of their Greatest Hits!! Below is the official press release!

One of the most hotly anticipated reunions of the last decade is finally confirmed as S Club 7 announce that they are to reunite and perform together again for the first time since 2003 on the BBC Children in Need Appeal show on Friday 14th November 2014.

Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Rachel Stevens, and Hannah Spearritt will perform a medley of their greatest hits live on the show for a UK TV audience of millions.

It will be a fitting return to BBC Children in Need for the S Clubbers; their single ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’ reached No.1 in the UK in 2000 as the official charity single for BBC Children in Need, as well as becoming their first top 10 hit in the States.

A year later S Club 7 released ‘Have You Ever’, their second chart-topping single for BBC Children in Need. It was one of 11 hit singles, four million selling albums, an internationally successful TV show, feature film and many awards won by the band during their five years together.

The group was formed in 1998 and quickly rose to fame by starring in their own television series that sold to over 100 territories around the world. The Brit Award winners numerous hits include Never Had a Dream Come True, Bring It All Back, S Club Party, Don’t Stop Movin’ and Have You Ever.

S Club 7 commented: “We’re massive fans of BBC Children in Need and it was great to be able to support the charity all those years ago. We’re really looking forward to bringing it all back for Pudsey, for BBC Children In Need and for all our fans who have been so great over the years. This is going to be the mega S Club party of all time!”

Additionally, Rachel has taken to her official website to post about the reunion

Hello everyone! There have been a few rumours lately and now, finally, I can set the record straight!
Close

Yes, me and my lovely S Club 7 band mates, Bradley, Hannah, Jo, Jon, Paul and Tina are getting together for the first time since 2003 for an exclusive performance on Children In Need Appeal night on November 14th, 2014.

Rehearsals have started and it’s genuinely great to be back with the guys. It’s very nostalgic and we’re having a lot of fun!

We’ve been working on a medley of our greatest hits to perform on the show, which will be a really special occasion for us to come back together for as we supported Children In Need with 2 charity singles -‘Never Had a Dream Come True’ which went to No1 in 2000 as CIN’s official charity song and was also our first US top 10 hit, and ‘Have You Ever’ which was our second single for the charity.

Recently, I’ve also lent my face to their Barefaced campaign and this year, that image has graced the side of buses across London in a bid to get more of you involved in this year’s fundraising campaigns.

From the bottom of my heart, a huge thank you to all of you who have sent such lovely messages recently and have supported us over the years. I can’t wait for the show and to bring it all back for Pudsey and for all our fans here and around the world.

If you’d like to follow the official S Club Twitter page, along with mine, you can do @SClub7

S Club 7 Now Have A Verified Twitter Account

Allow the reunion rumors to continue. The newest promising part of this all is now S Club 7 have a VERIFIED official Twitter account.

The account uses old pictures from Hollywood 7 and Don’t Stop Movin’ as their avatars and header images and currently follows nobody nor has any tweets.

In addition to that the S Club 7 official domain (SClub7.Com) has recently been purchased and updated as of October 14, 2014. However the register information is unavailable. Click Here to see that information (It was registered through a domain service in France).

This all could mean so many things but as i’m sure you’re all thinking along side me, it could mean NOTHING ELSE but a reunion. However there are numerous things you have to consider.

Jo is a full time mommy now.
Paul Recently launched his album with the band he originally left S Club for
Hannah Is busy filming movies
Jon Just starred in on more theater productions.
Bradley has been doing loads of behind the scenes work
and of course Rachel has full time judging duties now (as well as being a mom)

Rachel Stevens Announced as a Judge on “The Voice” Ireland!

RTÉ’s smash hit show, The Voice of Ireland, returns to our screens in January 2015. Bressie and Kian will be taking their seats on the spinning red chairs and joining them on the panel are two brand new coaches – Una Foden and Rachel Stevens, who between them have 11 chart topping albums and 24 singles.

Rachel Stevens enjoyed huge success with Brit Award winning pop group S Club 7 and went on to release two solo albums and several hit singles. She recently cha cha’ed her way to second place on Strictly Come Dancing and this year was voted FHM’s Sexiest Woman of All Time. Rachel is mum to Amelie and Minnie and works alongside charity Water Aid, which has seen her visit some of their projects in Ethiopia.

“I’m a big fan of The Voice so I can’t wait to join the team of coaches on the Voice of Ireland this year. I’m sure it will be great fun, but most of all I’m looking forward to listening to the great vocal talent that Ireland has to offer each week and to securing a team of people who have excited me enough to make me push that button for them. When I turn my chair, it will be for someone really special who gets under my skin and I truly believe has what it takes to make it to the final.” Rachel Stevens

The search for The Voice of Ireland will begin in mid October when filming of the Blind Auditions commences followed by the Battles in November, although viewers will have to wait until early January to catch the talent on RTE as the show will air from 4th January 2015.

“We are delighted to announce this year’s Coach line-up. It’s a welcome return for 2 time winner Bressie and Kian Egan. Kian is seeking his first win, although he came close before – Kian is determined to win this year! New to the coach line up we have Una Foden who has done it all in the world of music, including entering shows like this. Una stuck at it and has had a remarkable career with The Saturdays. Una as a Tipperary girl will know exactly what it takes to get to the top. And finally we introduce Rachel Stevens to Irish audiences as a coach, Rachel has also scaled the heights of the pop world not only as a member of S Club 7 but also with her solo career, so we look forward to Rachel adding even more glamour to The Voice this year” Larry Bass – Screentime Shinawil

“I am thrilled that Una Foden and Rachel Stevens have joined The Voice of Ireland and I know they’ll be an amazing addition to the show. Both Una and Rachel are talented artists with a string of hits and have the expertise to spot a star. It’ll be interesting to see how Kian and Bressie will react, as competition between the coaches is bound to intensify this year.” John McHugh Head of Entertainment RTÉ

Contestants will audition in the Blind stages, Battle against each other in the Battle Stages and finally take to the live stage in Dublin’s Helix for a chance to win a recording contractwith Universal.

Rachel Join’s WaterAid’s #MeAsAGirl

Rachel, Wateraid Ambassador, mother, and more recently FHM’s Sexiest Women In The World has joined WaterAid’s #MeAsAGirl campaign. The article comes complete with a never before seen Childhood picture of our gorgeous Amelie Rachel!

070814

A new WaterAid campaign, launching today, is asking women everywhere to post a childhood snap with the hashtag #MeAsAGirl, to raise awareness of the thousands of girls around the world who are suffering because they lack access to clean water.

The problems they endure aren’t limited to the obvious – lack of safe drinking water, personal hygiene and clean toilet facilities – but also have a direct link to education, as children spend their days trying to collect and carry clean water for their families, rather than going to school. The consequences of not having these basic services affect women and girls the most, as going to the toilet in the open leaves them vulnerable to violence and sexual assault.

“I’m supporting WaterAid’s To be a girl campaign as I believe all girls should be able to go to school and get an education,” Sarah Brown said today. “Too many girls around the world drop out of school because of the lack of somewhere private to go the toilet, or spend hours collecting water every day or have school sick days from drinking dirty water. No girl deserves to miss the chance to fulfil her potential because of lack of access to clean, safe water.”

Aiming to highlight the carefree childhoods that most people growing up in the UK have, WaterAid is aiming to also raise £1million to help bring safe, clean water and sanitation to over 130,000 girls around the world. Take a look through our gallery of celebrities above including Sarah Brown and Laura Whitmore (not to mention a few Marie Claire staffers) and start posting your own.

We will be re-tweeting everyone who shares their #MeAsAGirl pictures with us and WaterAid on Twitter and texts GIRLS to 70300 to donate £3. We will also update the gallery above with the best snaps.

Visit www.tobeagirl.org, to read stories from girls around the world and to find out more. Support the appeal by sharing a picture of #MeAsAGirl and text GIRLS to 70300 to donate £3 to WaterAid.
