Rachel has an exciting new project up her sleeve.
Rachel Stevens is to become the first celebrity face of the Next ‘Petites’ range. From January 2013, her images will be featured in all 550 stores nationwide and in the UK’s only glossy hardback home shopping publication; the Next Directory. Her beautiful images will also feature on Next online – the biggest fashion e-tailor in Europe, with over 2 million weekly customers. Rachel, 34, epitomizes the smaller customer at just 5ft 1 and a size 6-8.
She said; “Being petite, I’ve always found it tricky to find clothes to fit well. The attention to detail in the cut is very important to ensure that clothes for smaller women are still very tailored. It’s great to be modelling for Next as the Petites range has been designed specifically with this in mind. They have a huge choice in the range, which means that I don’t miss out on the latest fashion because of my size.” Next said: “We are proud of our extensive petites range which is cut to perfect proportions for the smaller frame, and, we all agreed that with her diverse appeal, healthy figure and stunning features, Rachel Stevens would be the ideal choice as the face of Next Petites.”
Petite sizes range from 6-18 to fit heights 4′ 11″ – 5′ 3″ Next has three convenient ways to shop: in store, by phone or online at next.co.uk. Shop by 9pm for next day delivery as standard*.

I’ve been a fan of Rachel’s since she competed in Strictly. I think she should have won.
I’ve also shopped the Next Petite Range for years now. Would be great if Rachel could encourage them to offer different inside legs lengths. Just like ‘standard’ size women, petite women don’t all have the same leg lengths and the petite jeans/leggings/trousers are still too long for me. So are the maxi dresses.
The quote above says the petite range is aimed at women between 4′ 11″ and 5’3″ – a woman of 4’11″ obviously isn’t going to have the same length legs as a woman of 5’3″.
Rachel, if you read this site, please help your fellow petites! This isn’t just a problem for me but for many petite women. The petite ranges are still too long for truly petite women. As 5’4″ is the average height of British women, how can 5’3″ be classed as petite?
Thanks for letting me vent!
