RUMOR: Rachel to Judge Strictly Come Dancing

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Rachel Stevens has said she could easily fill Alesha Dixon’s shoes on the panel. The S Club 7 star, who finished as runner up in the 2008 contest, told DigitalSpy she’d be up for joining the show as a judge after Alesha deflect to ITV. “I could definitely fill Alesha’s shoes,” she told the website. “I could give that a good go. Definitely!” With Alesha now settling in on Britain’s Got Talent, there’s certainly space for Rachel to join Strictly, and with the singer still holding the show’s best ever scores for her Foxtrot and Rumba, she’s got the credentials to match. Rachel added: “I’d love the opportunity to do something where I could really give my opinion, my feisty side – it’d be fun!” Strictly Come Dancing 2012 returns for a new series in the autumn, with the BBC expected to announce their plans for the judging panel later in the spring.
