Rachel Stevens gushes over her daughter Amelie

Rachel and her eldest daughter Amelie sat down exclusively with Hello! Magazine to share some exciting news regarding Amelie’s career path (hint: she’s reaching for the stars!!)

Check out the interview below, and pick up a copy on sale from tomorrow (15 August 2022).

In a new photoshoot with her 11-year-old daughter in HELLO! magazine, Rachel Stevens talks of her pride in how Amelie is now the one poised to reach for the stars, since taking to the stage in Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Miserables – and reveals the advice she has shared.

The former S Club 7 singer and Dancing on Ice star, who is also mum to Minnie, aged eight, tells HELLO!, “Amelie really does lead this herself – I’m encouraging but not pushy, and from all the learning I’ve taken from my career, I try to give her the best advice I can and be there to answer her questions”

In their first joint photoshoot and interview, Amelie tells how, “The best advice my mum has given me is never give up on your dreams. If you put your mind to something you love, you can do anything.”

Of her famous mum, Amelie adds: “It is really weird and funny to think how my mum was a pop star before I was even born. It is cool that I have a mum that’s famous. I love watching the videos of S Club 7.”

Rachel was roughly the same age as Amelie when she went to a concert that would change her life forever.

“I went to see Kylie and I was in awe; I was spellbound. And I will never forget saying to my mum, ‘That’s what I want to do one day’,” recalls Rachel. “But it was just a pipe dream.”

Except, of course, it wasn’t. A chance meeting some eight years later, at the age of 19, with a couple of music producers in the canteen of Sony Records, where her younger brother worked, led to Rachel becoming a member of one of the best-loved bands of the noughties.

“It was one of those ‘meant to be’ moments, I guess – and in a way, that’s what happened to Amelie.”

WATCH NOW: Rachel Stevens on Week 4 of “Dancing on Ice”

After returning to the ice following an Injury and a dance-off last week, Rachel Stevens returned to the ice performing The Waltz to “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys along with partner Brendyn Hatfield. Supported in the audience by former S Club bandmate Jo O’Meara and her mother Linda and Step-Father.

Gathering a score of 25 of 40 from the judges and a low score from the voting public Rachel was once again in the skate off, dancing to Lady A’s “Need You Now”.

Unfortunately, Rachel was eliminated in week 4 of the competition following the dance off.

While this is not the desired outcome, Rachel did fantastic in the competition and she learned a new skill and was able to implement old ones! Rachel danced (on ice) with style and grace and will always be a champion in our eyes!

With the recent performances of Rachel (including her stint at Proud Embankment over the Christmas holiday) or her recent performance with Gary Barlow ) it seems Rachel has gotten the bug for performing. This has sparked a slew of rumors of both a S Club reunion and a return to solo music.

Recently an article has published that Manchester Pride is going to return this summer and there is a short list of artists believed to be in talks to perform at the event, including, none other than Rachel Stevens. Other artists named include: Sam Smith, Lucy Spraggan, Michelle Visage, and Olly Alexander from Years & Years.

Rachel Stevens Teams Up with LCG for Glasses Collection

Today, Rachel launched her brand new Glasses Collection by partnering up with LCG. Check out the article below taken from FemaleFirst.

Rachel Stevens has curated a new glasses collection. The 42-year-old singer has collaborated with online retailer, Low Cost Glasses, on a new glasses and sunglasses Edit which includes classic tortoise shell rounds and rectangles, bolder cat eye shapes and on-trend translucents.

Rachel said: “I’ve worn glasses for five years and I love sunglasses too – especially large, statement frames with a dark tint. My personal style is classic, feminine and comfortable. I like to mix tailoring with more relaxed fabrics and I really think that your eyewear should be part of your outfit planning. Putting my Edit together has been great, as I’ve been able to experiment with more styles, shapes and colours than I normally would.”

Rachel encouraged her fans to use the retailer’s virtual-try-on and experiment with some new looks from the Edit, which is priced between £15 to £85.

She added: “It’s so easy to get into a routine of buying for the same shaped frames over and over. Being able to try on as many pairs as you like online means you can experiment with changing your whole look. There is something for everyone in my Edit and I love how all of the frames are really affordable, so you can have a bit more fun with your frames and treat yourself to few pairs to swap and change – just as you would with make-up or jewellery!

“You don’t need to leave home with virtual-try-on, so it’s a great chance to try as many pairs as you like and have some fun with your frames. As a general rule, opposites work well, so if you have a rounder face, then more angular frames look great, and vice versa. I also make sure I am wearing my make-up and experiment with different tops and jewellery, just so I can get a proper feel for how they look – you don’t quite get the same result with your hair scraped back wearing your trusty hoody!”

The Rachel Stevens x LCG Edit is available beginning today at LowCostGlasses.co.uk!

Is Rachel coming to your city?

Rachel Stevens appears in “You Magazine”

Rachel Stevens, singer and TV personality, lives in a modern detached house in North London with her husband, actor Alex Bourne, and their daughters Amelie, eight, and Minnie, five.

The house Rachel Stevens and her family moved into felt like a big blank white box – apart from a few slightly bizarre style statements. ‘The developer had gone to town in the bedroom with a glittery silver and black wallpaper. It was very masculine and not at all me,’ smiles Rachel.

Despite her own star-spangled career, which began with S Club 7 when she was just 19, Rachel’s interiors style is far from glitzy. Think plush velvets, dusky pinks and dreamy artworks: ‘I prefer lots of soft, subtle layers that add up to a strong personality,’ she says. So out went the swathes of beige carpet and 1980s nightclub walls, making way for a gentler palette of deep pastels, livened up with rich greens, evocative art and flashes of brass.

‘As the frame of the house is fairly modern, I was keen to bring character and warmth into the spaces,’ she says. To help mastermind this mood change, Rachel brought in interior designer Emma Gurner of Folds Inside (foldsinside.com). A more coherent scheme of punchy pastels gradually evolved, to which they added shapely furniture and a cool edit of pots, candlesticks and smoky glassware. ‘I can’t resist buying cute little vases and potted cacti – I love how switching accessories around can instantly refresh a space,’ says Rachel.

Since having her daughters, the concept of home has taken on even more significance for Rachel. ‘I’ve loved building a haven for us all. To me, a house expresses your style but, more importantly, it’s about surrounding yourself with things that reflect your family’s story,’ she says.

For the four years that Rachel was with S Club 7, life was a rollercoaster of filming, touring and recording, followed by a solo career based in Los Angeles. ‘It was an incredible experience, but not very domestic – I was never at home, so I didn’t really learn to cook properly,’ she says.

Before she found pop fame, Rachel trained at the London College of Fashion. ‘My first proper job was in fashion, but at lunchtimes I’d nip into the canteen at Sony Music for a free meal, because my brother worked there. One day, two producers came over and asked me if I could sing…’ Twenty years on, Rachel is returning to her first love: ‘My goal is to create my own fashion and lifestyle brand,’ she says.

The music world ‘now feels like another lifetime’. That said, she’s got a fine collection of awards – music and otherwise – in her downstairs loo, including FHM’s Sexiest Women of the Year 2003 and Rear Of The Year 2009. ‘I thought they would fit in nicely there,’ she jokes.
